Birthday Beginnings
PART 9
Early afternoon . . .
They lay in blissful slumber, limbs entangled. Jessica awoke first this time. She stretched and grimaced at the renewed pains in her legs. This time she remembered what caused them. Jake’s carnal hunger was insatiable, and she could only imagine the workout he’d put her through the night before. Then she thought of what he would put her body through in the future. ‘Who needs jogging?’ She stifled a giggle as not to awaken her dozing boyfriend. She slowly lifted her head off his chest and propped herself up on one elbow. He was so beautiful when he slept. She sometimes found him napping on Fred the recliner at Ghost Command. She’d always thought that he looked like an angel when he slept.
‘He’d probably hate the analogy, but it’s true.’ She smiled at him before kissing her fingertips and touching them to his lips. His eyelids fluttered, then opened, and he gradually focused on her face. He smiled blissfully, and stretched his long body to work out the kinks. He then ran his fingers over her forearm, causing goose bumps to stand out on her skin.
She dipped her head to capture his lips with her own. He sat up to kiss her more thoroughly. She leaned against him, running her fingers lightly over his chest and abs. His fingers grazed her back, and then slowly caressed the contours of her backside sending shivers up her spine. He leaned over her so that she was once again lying on her back. “You can’t possibly be thinking what I think you’re thinking,” she sighed.
“If you’re thinking I’m planning to have my way with you again, then I think you’re right,” he growled into her ear before nibbling on it.
She shrieked at the sudden feel of his warm tongue on her lobe. “You’ve got another think coming! Jake, I’d like to live to see tomorrow,” she laughed, pulling the sheet up to her neck. “And we never did finish our conversation you know.”
His grin was full of mischief as he slowly pulled the sheet down off her bare chest. His smile instantly changed into a look of intense passion. “We’ll talk later.”
