Chapter 1 - Flashback! Vexus' Birth.

(the story opens with a faraway shot of the galaxy, as the cosmos speed up until we see a planet which looks like a mechanical version of Saturn.)

Narrator: This planet, which you're about to see, is Cluster Prime: a planet fully populated with robots. This planet has been around for eons; long before man was created. But as of four decades ago, this planet has been conquering countless planets across the galaxy in the name of their queen: Vexus.

(the camera then fades to Cluster Prime, with a shot of the grand palace.)

Narrator: Vexus always had a hatred for humanity. But how did she get it? This is her story.

(zoom into the castle, where we see thorughout the palace; noting how beautiful the castle looks from the inside. We then cut to the throne room, where we see almost a dozen robot servants doing their respective chores. Suddenly, they stop to see a beautiful, wasp-like, female robot, with an Egyptian-looking headdress, enter the throne room. When they see her, they all become courteous to her.)

Servant Robots: Hello, you higness!

Vexus: (smiles) Ah, yes. Hello to you, my faithful servants.

(on cue, another robot, whose paint job is red and black, enters alongside Vexus. It is clear that he is her husband, Chrom: King of Cluster Prime.)

Chrom: And to you, as well, servants. You may continue your duties; my wife and I will be checking our kingdom's security systems today.

Servant Robots: Yes, sir!

(Chrom and Vexus, with her hand linked to his arm, walk out of the throne room together, as the narrator speaks once more.)

Narrator: The male robot that is with her, is her husband, and king of Cluster Prime: Chrom; the son of the planet's former king, Mercuro. He and his wife have been together since the day Vexus won the 1964 World Robot Competition. Today, they are going to do a monthly security check, but this time, they might find something more interesting.

(cut to the security area, where Vexus and Chrom enter. We see almost dozens of roach-drones working in the area. We also see two members of the Royal Council: Lord Vos, whom we first saw in the "World Robot Competition" arc; and Viscount Ozer, who resembles a robotic ant. When they see Vexus and Chrom, they bow immediately.)

Lord Vos & Viscount Ozer: (together) Our liege!

Vexus: Lord Vos, Viscount Ozer, how is the security system of our palace running?

Viscount Ozer: Running smoothly, my queen. All of our cameras and weapons are working; and our tracking devices are perfectly stabilized.

Vexus: (smiles) Excellent, Ozer. With our defense in perfect shape, no one can stop us!

Lord Vos: We did, however, find something interesting.

Vexus: (arches an eyebrow) What did the two of you find?

Lord Vos: Well, we found a female robot living on Earth.

Vexus: (surprised) Earth, you say?

Viscount Ozer: Indeed. Vos and I have found footage via our satellite of a young teenage robot living in a place on Earth called Tremorton.

Chrom: Can you show me and my wife the footage?

Viscount Ozer: Certainly. (he gestures to a roach droid, and the droid presses a button)

(the screen then shows them footage of a teenage, female robot, decked out in white and blue, and has pigtails. The footage shows the girl robot rescuing people and stopping disasters. As they are watching, Vexus looks at the girl's design in shock, as an image of three male robots, all shrouded in the shadows, flashes by. She then clutches her forehead in pain.)

Chrom: (notices his wife's pain) Are you all right, my dear?

Vexus: I'm fine. (to Ozer and Vos) Who is this girl?

Lord Vos: Her designation code is XJ9.

Vexus: I see. Very well, I've become interested in this girl. (to an unknown being in the room) Ambassador?

(on cue, the Cluster Ambassador enters the security area.)

Cluster Ambassador: You summoned me, my queen?

Vexus: Yes. I want you to let this girl (gestures to the screen) know about the Cluster, and invite her to stay in our kingdom.

Cluster Ambassador: You mean this girl?

Vexus: Yes. I want to personally introduce myself to her, and tell what those meat-people will do to her later on.

Cluster Ambassador: You mean-?

Vexus: Yes, Ambassador. Back before I came to this world.

(we then flashback to the time before Vexus came to Cluster Prime. This takes place in a laboratory in Tokyo, Japan in 1964. A team of scientists are together planning designs for a new robot. One of them, a middle-aged Japanese man with black hair and glasses chooses a design similar to a certain robot queen we know. Time lapse into the scientist and his colleagues' experiment as they built the robot according to the diagram. This takes many hours to built this robot. Hours later, we cut to a pair of closed eyes, which, seconds later, fully open, revealing to the viewers who the scientists have built. She blinks a few times as the scientist speaks.)

Scientist: (off-screen) At last. My colleagues, we've completed phase one in our experiments. I present to you: Vex-20!

(cut to a wide shot of the scientists together as they move out of the robot's way, fully revealing to the audience who it really is: Vexus, only with the designation code of Vex-20. She curiously looks around her surroundings, like a child entering a place for the first time. The head scientist then walks up to her.)

Scientist: (friendly) Konnichi-wa, Vex-20. I am your creator, Dr. Tomoku. Can you say my name?

Vex-20: (slowly) Doc...ter... Tom...o...ku...

Dr. Tomoku (Scientist): (happy) She speaks! (to his fellow scientists) I want you all to educate her mind to speak and sense. If we want this project to go well as planned, Vex-20 must be educated to speak and feel like us humans. Do we all agree?

(all of the scientists nod, as Vex-20 still looks around the lab, curious of her new surroundings in this strange place.)

(we take a time lapse for a few weeks until an entire month. During that time, all of the scientists are teaching Vex-20 the ways of human interaction. The scientists teach her how to read, then teach her how to speak, and teach her how to fight, in case of trouble. All of this is under the watchful eye of her creator, Dr. Tomoku. He smiles at Vex-20's abilities as a robot to learn and adapt. He is then approached by one of his assistants, who is a beautiful Japanese woman that shares the looks of a certain voice-actress who does a certain teen robot's voice.)

Female Scientist: Dr. Tomoku?

Dr. Tomoku: (keeps his attention at Vex-20, but speaks to the woman) Yes, Hiroku?

Hiroku (Female Scientist): Although creating Vex-20 is a great accomplishment for artificial intelligence, I believe the experiment that she was created for is a little unsettling.

Dr. Tomoku: What do you mean, unsettling?

Hiroku: Well, like the other scientists, I have been studying Vex-20's A.I. in the habitat we created for her. She is really adapting the way us humans think and do in society.

Dr. Tomoku: Isn't that a good thing?

Hiroku: Yes it is. But I'm worried that if she'll go into emotional distraught when we put her on this... (shudders, as if digusted) breeding experiment.

Dr. Tomoku: What's wrong with finding out something like breeding, my dear?

Hiroku: She might be scarred for life because of it. I'm sorry if I seem liberial and dishonorable, but I find this experiment wrong.

Dr. Tomoku: Relax. (puts a comforting hand on her shoulder) Van Leeuwenhoek discovered the microscopic structure of a human's sperm and egg; did he find that wrong?

Hiroku: Well, no, I suppose.

Dr. Tomoku: Remember why we're doing this experiment on Vex-20?

Hiroku: (uncomfortable) For the good of science?

Dr. Tomoku: Exactly! Now I don't want you to worry about it, one minute more.

Hiroku: (saddened) Ok, sir.

Dr. Tomoku: Now, I want you to keep an eye on Vex-20 for me while I'm gone. (begins to walk away)

Hiroku: Where are you going?

Dr. Tomoku: (stops for a moment) I'm going to check on her new... "friends." (walks off, leaving Hiroku to watch Vex-20 to study with the other scientists.)

(we then cut to a month later. Dr. Tomoku is walking with Vex-20 in the halls of the building. As Vex-20 is still curious about her surroundings, and learned all that she knows about human interaction, Dr. Tomoku speaks to her.)

Dr. Tomoku: So, Vex-20. Have you figured out what you were built for yet?

Vex-20: (confused) Purpose? (Dr. Tomoku nods) I'm not so sure why you built me.

Dr. Tomoku: It is for an experiment, my dear.

Vex-20: Experiment?

Dr. Tomoku: (nods) Yes, my dear automaton. For years I have been curious to know how robots would interact. After studying you in your specially made habitat, there's one thing that has been confounding me for so long in my years in robotics?

Vex-20: What is it, master?

Dr. Tomoku: Love.

Vex-20: (confused) Love?

Dr. Tomoku: Yes. You see, human beings are able to feel love or make love. And I want to know if a robot, though emotionless, can have these feelings.

(Vex-20 looks down on the floor as she's walking with the scientist. She is still very curious and confused about what he told her, since she was just created a month earlier.)

Dr. Tomoku: But before I continue, I want to introduce you to your fellow test subjects.

Vex-20: Test subjects?

Dr. Tomoku: Yes. These three males robots are very handsome, and they'll be happy to meet you.

Vex-20: Why? Why would they be happy to see me?

Dr. Tomoku: I told them how beautiful you are.

Vex-20: Am I?

(Dr. Tomoku nods to his robot. Vex-20 looks ahead in thought on the robots liking her for her beauty. We then switch to a robot room, where we see three male robots waiting for Dr. Tomoku and his robot. The three robots are very handsome, and they share a look and style, similar to a certain teenage robot. The difference is that the three don't have pigtails, and their paintjob is olive green and yellow like Vex-20's paintjob. Seconds later, Dr. Tomoku and Vex-20 enter the room. The three robots immediately stand in attention.)

Dr. Tomoku: Vex-20, I would like you to meet the robots that will be with you in the experiment. (gestures to the first robot) This is Saionji.

Saionji (Robot #1): Konni-chi Wa, Miss Vex-20.

Dr. Tomoku: (gestures to the second robot) Touga.

Touga (Robot #2): Greetings.

Dr. Tomoku: (gestures to the last robot) And Ruka.

Ruka (Robot #3) Charmed.

Vex-20: (shy) Um, hi.

Dr. Tomoku: These robots will be a part of the experiment. You will be going on a simulated date with the three of them.

Vex-20: (shocked) All three?

Dr. Tomoku: Yes. They seem very smitten with you.

Vex-20: (unsure) Well, they all seem very nice. But would it be a hassle to-

Saionji: Don't worry, Miss Vex-20. We'll be very happy to be with you.

Touga: Very happy, Vex-20.

Vex-20: Oh. Alright. (to Dr. Tomoku) When will this experiment begin?

Dr. Tomoku: In a few hours, around nightfall. Right now, I want you to get dressed for the occassion.

Vex-20: Dressed? (looks over her body, and sees nothing wrong) Do I have to sheild my body in this experiment?

Dr. Tomoku: Don't worry. It won't last long. Now hurry along, Vex-20. I want to have a little discussion with your dates.

Vex-20: (bows) Yes, master.

(Vex-20 then turns and leaves the room. When she's gone, Dr. Tomoku addresses his robots.)

Dr. Tomoku: So, do you three know what to do with Vex-20?

Ruka: Definately, Dr. Tomoku.

Touga: We'll be sure to give her the best night of her life.

Dr. Tomoku: (smiles wickedly) Excellent.

(fade out)
