Prologue
The girl had her back turned towards him. She had managed to keep ahead of him for three blocks, but then she'd made a wrong turn and had ended up in a dead-end alley. He didn't want to kill her, but she, unfortunately, had seen their true forms. She could not be allowed to live. He raised his gun and aimed at the back of her head, only to halt as she turned around and spoke.
"If you're going to kill someone you should at least have the guts to look them in the eyes as you do so, and the decency to learn their name if you don't already know it." Her scowl made him feel as though he was a small child again and he had just been caught lighting up a cigarette.
"Very well, then. Would you care to tell me your name?" He asked softly, if only because her words struck a part of him he had thought long dead.
"My name is Markaya Knox. I suggest you remember it, because I have every intention of coming back and haunting your ass until you either succumb to insanity or die yourself." She scowled again, crossing her arms and glaring at him defiantly.
"If you manage to succeed in doing so...I won't stop you." He promised before pulling the trigger and watching as her face morphed momentarily into a grimace of pain and she fell back on the ground. Walking over and checking her pulse, the man sighed as he stared into her now lifeless eyes.
"I am sorry. You didn't deserve this. But we can't afford to be found out by the humans. May you rest in peace young one." He closed her eyes and and walked away. As his footsteps faded away, the voice of the now dead young woman echoed softly throughout the alley.
"You may be sorry, but that doesn't change the fact that I am going to haunt you until your dying day."
AN: I do have a question. Does it count as necrophilia if the sex is with a ghost?
