I wanna be in the story
This is a tender, passionate and believable realisation of the emotional and physical connection between Arnold and Helga (which is entirely consistent with their characterisation as nine year old children!). Helga's physicality and deep emotions come across very strongly here, and there is some amusing homage to how she was portrayed in the show that reminds one of the more surreal elements therein. The more realistic side to the show has always suggested to me that the pair would abandon any hostility between them once Helga's walls came down, and I'm very glad to see that portrayed here. The use of Grandpa is fun too, portraying him as humorous but also sensible, supportive and highly in tune with Arnold's feelings.
