Not good reasons. First of all, why would they assume that the Princess had 'brought on the pandemic' in the first place?
Reeks of someone 'behind the scenes' manipulating events and Princess Pi should have been intelligent enough to reason that out.
It appears that after the incident in question (admittedly horrific) she said "Screw the world!" and did not do her proper 'due diligence' to figure out WHY that incident happened.
