It's decent for a beginner's work, but you're pretty rough around the edges. First, your punctuation is iffy in a lot of places; sometimes commas aren't there or are in the place of semicolons. Also, you could use some work on adding description to the words themselves and finding ways to start paragraphs without using their name. There's a part in chapter one where you see "Julie" start off three consecutive paragraphs, and it sort of pulled me out of the story.
