Though I had only seen some "Hey Arnold!" episodes at the time I first read this, I had no trouble getting into the story and following every delicious minute. Your writing style melded into Helga's thought process perfectly, though you used *just* enough of her over thinking and inner turmoil to move the feelings and action along without getting bogged down in her self doubt. It was so effective that Arnold's stupid comment hit me really hard the instant I read it.
Santa's involvement was sweet yet subtle, and causing a little panic to push the two together made it even better for those two. Despite his save, you made it clear that Arnold also remembered what really happened; and I don't think Helga would ever forget even without the DVD. (I'm sure Claus made it for himself and burning an extra copy wasn't any trouble, especially since she'd gone above and beyond... well, above and all the way. :))
It was a true pleasure to read.
Now, I've been considering posting my "bookends" to the parent jam's stories (and my related "Codename: Kids Next Door" story). Please either e-mail or catch me on-line to let me know your thoughts on that.

I have read many a story, general and adult, in my time online. Often enough, there are stories that remain within my mind for a long time, mostly due to the splendor of what I had read within.
Your story here is now a part of those memories.
The party scene was nice, and it allowed me the opportunity to see who all came and what would be done. During multiple parts of this story, there were times where I made and assumption as to how things would turn out, feeling that sense of embarrassment (and slight shyness) at certain parts in such occasions (their time being up in the closet, for example, where I anticipated the reaction).
The chapter with the two stars of this story, though, is where it all shines. The love scene was done in such a tasteful way, your descriptions painting a picture of precise passion within my mind. It's gave the sense of "Paradise Obtained" for when the two became one, and you gave such swell detail on this as well. The events afterwards were nice in closing, bringing a grin to my face as well.
Overall, astounding story, and one I'm sure to remember for years to come. Thank you, so very much, for sharing this with us all.
