It was really amazing. You should write a sequel. Does shang ever find out about his son? How does mulans son end up? What happened to the fourth wife? Please write a sequel.

I can't provide a complete review for this since it's been years since I read it (and then it was only up to one chapter) but I remember loving what I did read. I'm working through it now and I've noticed that part of chapter 10 and all of chapter 11 is missing in part 4. Is there any way that can be fixed?

Excellent story! I've seen Raise the Red Lantern and I admire the way you blend it into the story of Mulan. The ending (while not "happily ever after") is fitting for this story.

Beautiful concept. I love how you maintained some elements of the original plot, added more mature twists (the sex! 'TWAS HOT.) and came up with something not entirely different, but still refreshingly new. The end broke my heart (Mulan/Shang shipper here~), but was oddly satisfying. Bittersweet, and very nicely executed. OVERALL LOVE FOR THIS <3
