This was great! You write all the characters so well and IC. Everyones emtions are clear and realistic, and I like how she has tO leave, even tho it is difficult for her. Most writers would have done the easy way out but you did it the realistic way. I loved ging lei. Great job!

You're a beautiful author Spleef, please bother listening to people who have no idea how to form a damn sentence.... -_-;; And if you don't continue writing, I'll cry! I'm trying to add your stories to my recomended list...It ain't going so well, darn thing. But the new chapter is awesome, but PLEASE! No Katang! I luffles Zuko! Especially how you make him so strong, masculine, and loveable! ((Ok, not necessarily that, but I still Luff him!)) Great job.

From one writer to another I would like to ask you if you've ever been published? I've enjoyed reading your stories, they have a knack for flow and though long and drawn out I sense lots of work put into them. It reminds me of my years as a beginning writer when all I wanted to do was play out the whole story in my mind like a movie and then write it to paper.
I've been writing for about 12 years now and every now and again I catch myself coming back to my roots of reading fanfictions and the like, finding talent in the younger generations. Your use of words are intriguing and I find myself rapturously raveled up as I fight to know the ending, but savoring the body of the story so much I can't force myself to skip ahead. (Don't worry, I never did.)
I have always been a hard cynic and disapprove greatly of the younger kid's writing and story telling, sounding heavily cold when I degrade with adult cynicism, in the passed 5 years I can count on two hands how many books I've read, which is absolutely appalling to someone like me who adores books. Thank you for writing your stories, it reminds me how girlish I still am when I get back into reading and staying up late into the midnight hours to finish a story or at least, a chapter.
"Slow Heat" was a great story and I have secretly always loved the cartoon "Avatar" since my daughter started watching it when it began running, and your other story "Kiss of Fire" is also as impressive.
I'll be the first to admit when I finished "Slow Heat" I was infuriated that you could've allowed Katara to die, but you wholeheartedly redeemed yourself in your following sequel. Keep up the fantastic work and you are more then welcome to chat with me whenever you like. From one author to a writer, I enjoy chats and finding out what other "GOOD" writers incites are. And don't forget...
Always have fun in the writing or you'll lose the spark.

Feel free to hate me for this review; it's my first and only on your work despite that I've read every piece you've written.
Honestly, I am -so- happy to have this alternate ending published/being published. I loved Slow Heat, and it broke my heart that they didn't have their happy ending. And I'll be brutally honest, Kiss of Fire always seemed like a cruel bait and switch starring Zuko/OC... Just because a girl has Katara's hair and eyes doesn't make her Katara--and it took a crazy long time for the girl to even realize her memories or anything. I felt kind of cheated as a reader, even a little bit insulted. Your writing, as ever, was lovely to read, but the story wasn't Zutara at all to me but a cheap knock-off.
That said, that just makes me immeasurably happy that you've decided to write this, much less upload it. I would love, LOVE to see more of THIS future for them, but I'm afraid that would just be too greedy of me. x: Anyway, thank you so very much for sharing this. I can't wait for the next part.
