You know what? I actually like this story. It has promise, and i love the pairing of Zuko and Katara. I do hope you continue to write more, but get the stick out of your ass and stop being so selfish with this, "If you don't review, i won't continue the story". Its bullshit.
Now i don't mean any offence personally, and i apologise porfusly for how i am actually writing this, as i really do like your story, but come on! I've seen worse writers than you, and they don't go and do what your doing, they are simply happy that people are actually reading their story at all. You should write the story for the story, i love writing and would hate myself if i stopped writing simply because i didnt get enough reviews.
I admit, yes i like reviews a lot, they are encouraging and make you feel elated that people are reading your story and bothering to leave reviews when they simply don't have to. Face it, people are extremly lazy, or else have this thing about waiting until the story is finished, (as i have so far, as i have never read it before and have waited until i could not go any further) before leaving a review.
I hope you do continue, and do it, not only for the readers, but for yourself as well. And i apologise once again, as i had no intention of writing this as i am now, but i am sick and tired of reading something thats worth reading, and then at the latest chapter find out it's going to be discontinued simply because they're not getting enough praise for their work. Well, here's your praise from me. It's good, it's promising and can get better, but only if you actually get rid of this silly attitude towards reviews.

Hiya spleefmistress (wut a unique name) (^-^)
I just read your plea for more reviews on your stories, so here's mine:
First, let me begin by explaining that the only reason I haven't been reviewing was because at one point of time during aff's transition they required a person to login in order to leave reviews. Though I had read and reviewed extensively on this site I had not yet and still have not yet worked up the nerve to actually get an account with aff. So, til now, I continued reading and stopped reviewing. After your plea with Slow Heat, though, I just knew I absolutely had to start reviewing again.
I absolutely love your stories. While, I can't say I like Kiss of Fire (I haven't given it much of a chance, to be honest. The idea of Zuko with someone else besides the original Katara, even her reincarnation, kinda turns my stomach...I'm so picky... I know...it's a bad habit to have with fanfiction), I absolutely love Capture of the Maiden (CM) and Slow Heat (SH). Do I enjoy one more than the other...ummm... I'd say they're about neck and neck. I love both of the plots. SH is less of an alternative universe than CM, and so I like the plot because it make sit more believable. I have a less difficulty(not that your plots are difficult to reanimate in my imagination to begin with) imagining the events and characters of SH than CM. Further, I picked up immediately what you just had to have used for inspiration to write CM. And, I've loved this particular story, the story of Hades and Persephone, ever since I first read it in my Greek myths book when I was in 4th grade. (^-^*) I also have fallen in like with both sets of personalities for each character, even the one's for the Avatar and the Sokka in CM.
Specifically I enjoy both versions of Zuko and Katara. CM uses much older versions of characters and SH uses much younger characters, so of course, if they're to have any inkling of verisimilitude, they are going to be different. I mean it wouldn't do for SH Katara and SH Zuko to act like CM Katara and CM Zuko and vice versa. So ,though they are completely different, the character representations you've chosen to convey in these two fics are spot on and completely believable...(^-^)
I do have a question for you, however. All the characters' state of mind/actions in the plot til now have been very close to Nicklodeon's original epidsodes, but I was just wondering when is Katara going to stop being so...mean? I can understand her distrust of Zuko after his little stunt...but how long has it been since that happened? Even the rest of the group seems to have forgiven him. I mean...he's trying so hard...it's hard NOT to sympathize with him.I'm not questioning why they haven't jumped into lovey dovey action or legasp.. a friendship yet... I'm just wondering why is she acting so? and when can we, the readers, expect to see some ch-ch-ch-changes (lol,is all?(please forgive the lack of finesse with my diction and grammar...I'm still a bit drugged up with sleepy time medicines like nyquil...my lil bro loves to share his germs, you see)
Thanks for writing your stories and sharing a piece of yourself with us. I know how much work and emotion goes into writing fics like these, as I've worked as beta before...but please, please don't give up...please don't end this story.. I really do enjoy it. I'll review more often..promise. I'll even give Kiss of Fire another chance so I can review that too.

I truly enjoy the stories you write and have read many of them. It is not because I _don't_ like them that I do not review, it is that I lack the proper words to express the immense pleasure and joy I receive from reading your works. Perhaps it is the same for others?
I understand how nice it is to be given a review, even multiple reviews, even if it’s a simple “good job!” or “great fic!” but I have to admit, I’d prefer a well thought out review to a simple statement. What was liked? What wasn’t liked? What do you want to see more of? It is because of that I do not review much, if at all. However, there are pieces, such as yours, that I find so wonderfully done that I _have_ to leave a review. Please, keep up the good work on all of your fanfics, even if I don’t write a review for all of them. You truly research the characters and try to stick as close to canon as possible, save for a little bend or twist here or there (which is still well explained and interesting). It is a testament to your craft that you have so many readers, even if you have few reviews.
I look forward to reading your next chapter.

For the love of pete, keep going on this story. It's the only one that has a different dynamic between Z and K than your other stories. I was so excited when I saw you'd updated, honestly. Please keep it up.

Ok, I just read that and it sounds like an incredibly backhanded compliment! Sorry, that was NOT my intention. I just prefer Zuko with less sociopathic tendencies than in Kiss of Fire. Or Capture of the Maiden. ARGH. GODAMMIT I LIKE THIS STORY AND I WISH FOR YOU TO CONTINUE.
