I really tried to like this series. I absolutely loved The Dragon and the Siren, but this story made me physically sick. I felt so uncomfortable reading it. I feel like you've ruined the characters for me

I must say, I've read hot water before you did the edit and I love the changes that were done to the story. It certainly does make things flow a lot better. I do kind of wish that Zuko revealed the truth of the mark he gave Katara earlier in the story but it may have changed too much of the completed work and that wasn't your purpose. I think the only thing I missed was the chance to see Aang grow up more. He's only mentioned in passing yet he was also an important person in helping to maintain the balance after Zuko ended the war. I was hoping to see some interaction aside from the passing mention in the epilogue, but that's just me being picky. Over all I loved both the original and the edited version of this story. I also wish there was more detail on what happened to the northern water tribe. It's unclear if they were totally destroyed or not and if the fire nation was completely successful in their attack or not and what would happen to the ocean and moon spirits in the spirit oasis. After all the primary goal of Zhao was to destroy the spirits themselves. Obviously that aspect failed otherwise there would be no waterbending at all but it's hard to believe all the water benders are gone from the world and if the order of the white lotus is around would it not be possible that Paku or others from the northern water tribe had survived and possibly would agree to come and teach Katara. Prejudice or no if the water benders recieved a terrible blow to their numbers then anyone with bending abilities should be trained, especially with the growing peace and stability.

One thing that always intrigued me was the legend of Agni and his mate. I know you have done reincarnation story where Katara is reborn but part of me wonders if you would want to do one further into the future where both are reborn to start anew, to see what would repeat and what wouldn't in regards to history, how the world has evolved and hopefully healed from the loss of balance. I know you said you are focusing on all your original works but if you ever decide to come back to this fanfiction genre, it might be a fun challenge to tackle. I still look forward to the completion of Volcano and at the same time feel saddened that you will no longer be writing for this genre. There are so few quality stories out there and you are one of my favorite authors for a Zuko and Katara pairing. Well, take care and I hope you never loose the love of writing
