this is actually Incorrect, there are many animals that mate for pleasure, dlphins being one, and some primates (though I forget the exact species at this moment) also mate for pleasure. there is also homosexuality in the animal kingdom, though it is not frequent.

Animals other than humans don't get pleasure when they mate, it's pure instincts.
Since humans developed more brain capabilities, they also gained the ability to decide on their own... No longer driven by instincts, humans evolved to feel pleasure down there so they would still mate. Now humans do it for pleasure, and not for offspring.
